CLUBS

 

FCCLA--   Jennifer Webb -- Mission:  To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

Anime Club-- Mickey Jones -- Share your love of Japanese manga and cartoons.  Join us for discussions of favorites, get cosplay tips, and help us reach our goal of making all manga have an AR test. 

4H-- Claudia Henderson -- 4-H is co-sponsored by the school and the county extension office.  The club is service oriented and gives students a chance to learn public speaking skills as they work on specific skill projects.

 

Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl-- Lori Shiver --The reading bowl club members read the Georgia Children’s Book Award nominees for the year.  The students then participate in an academic bowl style competition based on reading comprehension and memory.

 

Soccer Club-- Linda Wiggins -- Learn soccer skills, get out on the field to play mock games, and share your interest with others who love the game. 


Student Council
-- Charlene Davenport -- Student Council provides service projects for Cedartown Middle School and the community.

 

National Junior Honor Society-- Jennifer Tucker, John Sheffield, and Gay Popham-- National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is more than just an honor roll. The Honor Society chapter establishes rules for membership that are based upon a student's outstanding performance in the areas of: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and  citizenship.  These criteria for selection form the foundation upon which the organization and its activities are built.

FCA—Blaine Tidwell-- The Fellowship of Christian Athletes: A non-profit, interdenominational ministry that reaches out to the young athletes of the world.
